Connect: Share life together for missional impact

What people long for most is authentic relationships and meaningful contribution. Why not do both as you connect with others who share your passion for helping your neighbors? We believe that volunteer work done with friends doubles the pleasure and exponentially increases the benefit.

Icon2Establish intentional connections in your community

You are already connected to friends and family. It might be a favorite handful of people or it may be a crowd. But what about connecting intentionally with people that love what you love to do? At Semper Vita, we believe that establishing purposeful connections is core to experiencing life in community. If you’re going to help out, why not do it with like-interested friends?

Icon3 Find others who have similar interests and passions

Wouldn’t it be great to find other people who care as much about your cause as you? Imagine the fun when you find others with similar skills, talents and gifts. It’s great to compare notes and encourage each other.

On the other hand, you might need someone who is your exact opposite for a project you’re working on. You know these people are out there, but yet you don't know many of them because we tend to connect with those who are more “like us.” At Semper Vita, we believe that connecting with others should be easy. We’ve made it simple to find others—whether they’re birds of a feather or from opposite breeds.

When you work shoulder-to-shoulder with people on a project, you share stories and a part of your life. With a Semper Vita group, you can keep up with others in your volunteer community. There are several groups to choose from.

  • Individuals can set up life groups. This is a small group of friends and fellow volunteers that you want to share life with. This closed group allows for deep connections, meaningful conversations and genuine friendships.
  • Partners can set up task groups. These groups allow everyone on a certain project to stay connected, share information and develop community. The task groups are intentional and practical, open to anyone signed up for the project.
  • Semper Vita will set up network groups. These networks will allow individuals and organizations to connect with others around a cause or local community. Networks are great places to share ideas, keep up with what's going on and connect with others who love what you love.

We believe that connecting with others through one or more Semper Vita groups will foster greater pleasure in volunteering, help you apply your skills, stretch your knowledge, and allow you to be part of the Semper Vita family—making a difference through service in a networked community.
